How many times in the recent past have you promised yourself to reduce by half only to be stopped by unwilling mind midway? Or for that matter, what's the one thing that keeps coming back to haunt you in your weight loss endeavors? To put the answer in simple terms, it's the lack of motivation that is an obstacle in achieving the desired weight loss.
So, like any other vehicle, you need to periodically oil the vehicle of motivation too with the positive thoughts and messages. Often, inspirations from real-life stories of famous models, actors, sportspersons, and bodybuilders can provide the necessary stimulus to keep you motivated throughout your journey. The logic is simple. The emotional problems you are facing, in all likelihood, would've been encountered by these celebrities as well. And ultimately, they must've overcome these mental blocks by resorting to some trick that worked for their bodies. Taking a cue from their life experiences, you can easily get inspired and try out new modes of keeping you motivated until the desired body weight is achieved.
Losing body weight through natural means is not a mean task. It requires tons of dedication and perseverance, which is difficult to sustain throughout. Therefore, there has to be some motivational factor apart from the simple desire to lose weight. For some, it could be lost love, which is promised back if certain body weight is achieved. For others, it's a challenge from someone close to their heart. While others may need to cut down the flab for a job of, for instance, air hostess. There could be any number of motivation factors. All you require is some kind of mechanism through which you can identify the factor that works best for you. The rest of the task is simple, i.e., keep telling your mind about the identified motivation factor until you finish the job that you set out for.
Though it may sound tough, yet you can easily achieve high levels of motivation by simply reading about similar experiences of the famous men and women. Preferably, you should go for an author who has first hand account of everything he or she is trying to convey. In simple words, he or she must practice what they preach! Apart from reading their experiences, you'll also come to know the 'before and after' status of their bodies.
If a simple task of reading could help you motivate, then where is the need to attend expensive motivational courses and seminars?
